They don't need to know what beef you have with your target, they straight up don't care. The only problem with their services is that they don't exactly have a great record for bringing people back in one piece.

Lore

The Gavel was formed about fifty years ago for honestly pretty good reasons. They looked to serve justice and bring peace to the galaxy even if they had to take extreme measures. Unfortunately, power-hungry assholes immediately started flocking to this agency and now it's the corrupt mess it is today.
